Enabling the event that opens the door to the boss battle was one of the big unknowns among From Software RPG players.
Months go by, Elden Ring continues to sell at a tremendous rate (nearly 17 million copies in the last update), and the community continues to search the Middle Lands for secrets. And we want to tell you one: we have put an end to the mystery of the Radanh festival , the special event that must be activated to be able to fight against it and that has given players so many problems.
This is what the castle square should look like, but many players find that there is no one there and they cannot start the boss fight
What about the festival?
To put you in context, the Radanh festival is the event that opens the possibility of fighting the boss on the beach under the Red Mane Castle. What is the problem? That many users find that when they arrive, the door of the chapel at the back of the castle is closed and the NPC tells them that “he has no assignment” for them. It was not like that in our games to elaborate the complete Elden Ring guide , since as soon as we arrived we found a teleportation portal that took us to the already started festival.
During these months we have seen many theories about how it can be activated; as many as players who discovered that they were not true and that each case was different. Progressing through the Wolf Blaidd quest, defeating all the enemies in the castle and respawning at the nearest grace… Nothing seemed to work, but don’t worry , we’ve already found a way to activate the festival with 100% effectiveness .
How to activate the Radanh festival in Elden Ring
We’re going to assume that you’ve already entered Red Mane Castle and cleared the area, but absolutely nothing is happening in the festival square. That, and you’ve met Ranni , but made virtually no progress on his quest. We’re also going to forget about Blaidd, because you don’t need to do anything with him , not even get to see him for the first time in Necrolimbo. So the process is as follows.
- Talk a couple of times until you exhaust the dialogue with the NPC in the chapel in the upper area of the castle, the one that gives access to the elevator that goes down to the beach. He won’t tell you anything important.
- Now look for Master Iji, the giant blacksmith standing next to a statue just south of Caria Manor in West Liurnia (a map with his location is below). Go back to the NPC in the chapel and talk to him; will know that you have met Iji.
- Returning once more to Iji, you’ll see new dialogue options and some refer to the festival itself.
At this point in Liurnia, next to the Caria Mansion, you have Master Iji. Talking to this NPC is the key to being able to activate the Radanh Festival.
You will have activated everything you need and you will be able to find the characters getting ready in the castle square, it will be night and you just have to follow the usual procedure : talk to the soldier on the upper balcony and accept his proposal to start the fight against Radanh.
