Halo Infinite Plasma Coils: How to Get Fusion Coil

If you fight your way through the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Battle Pass, chances are you will complete a ton of different challenges. One of these tasks is to kill an enemy Spartan with a Fusion Coil Takedown in Halo Infinite . Corn What are fusion coils (also called plasma coils)? and how do you kill an enemy with one? Here you will find everything you need to know to complete this challenge.

What is a fusion coil?

Fusion Reels are the bright blue containers that you’ve probably seen in the corner of some of the game’s multiplayer maps. They look like little clear glass containers with a glowing blue ball of energy in the center, as shown in the image below.

While these may seem like a decorative item for each of the cards in Halo Infinite, they can actually be picked up and used as a weapon.

They are also known as plasma coils in Halo Infinite, in case you think you have picked up the wrong item.

Where to find plasma coils in Halo Infinite

Plasma Coils / Fusion Coils are not on all multiplayer maps in the game. They can only be found on the following maps at the time of writing:

  • Fragmentation (BTB)
  • High power (BTB)
  • Launch site (BTB and Quick Play)

To find out where to find the plasma coils on these cards, be sure to check the edges of the cards. The launch site, in particular, has a bunch of Fusion Coils hidden in the corners below the protected section of the map.

High Power and Fragment, on the other hand, doesn’t have as many fusion coils in the center of the map and instead places several of them at the base of each team on each side.

Kill a Spartan with a Fusion Coil in Halo Infinite

To kill an enemy with a Fusion Coil, first find one, then pick it up by pressing X while standing in front of it.

Now look for an enemy, as soon as you see it take aim at it and press RT on your Xbox controller to launch it. If it hits the enemy or if the enemy Spartan falls within its blast radius, it will die instantly. A Fusion Coil is a one-hit kill in Halo Infinite, making it an invaluable weapon to use in the blink of an eye.

Fusion Coils (Plasma Coils) are also incredibly effective against enemy vehicles. However, since these move faster than enemies on foot, it can be a bit more difficult to hit them.

Killing a single enemy Spartan with a Fusion Coil will allow you to complete the Fusion Frenzy challenge that will give you XP to upgrade your Battle Pass.
