Fuchsia (color)

Fuchsia or red fuchsia is a colored purplish red intense whose original inspiration is the color of the sepals of the flowers of the shrub Fuchsia magellanica , called fuchsia, chilco and Quiver, among other names. The color fuchsia is included in the traditional iconolinguistic collections of the cultures of Central and South America , and of Europe . Despite the fact that this color has a specific reference – the coloration of the sepals of fuchsia – in common use it is not defined, so its representation may have variations. In Mexicoit is identified with the Mexican rose . The word fuscia derives from the German botanist Leonhard Fusch 1501 – 1566 .

Etymology

Eponym of the botanical genus Fuchsia , and this in turn eponymous of the German botanist Leonhart Fuchs

features

The Fucsia could say that is the glamorous and mature part of the magenta / pink . It is feminine but with greater elegance, as it moves away from pure pink and has more of a red hue . Combined with blacks it can be very elegant. In the same way, the contrast with white or very light grays can be quite good.

History

“Fuchsia” was the original name for fuchsin, an artificial dye discovered in 1858 , which on wool and silk gave a color similar to that of fuchsia flowers; but in a short time the name was replaced by ” magenta ” in allusion to the blood shed in the battle of Magenta , which occurred in the Lombard-Venetian town of Magenta, in Italy . The colored pink fuchsia or pink neon is denser and intense, or as defined by Maria Camila Arango, the first to use fuchsia, originally calling it pink shocking by Elsa Schiaparelli in 1937 . Eastcolor is in appearance closer to magenta than to traditional pink . Currently magenta and fuchsia are still used as synonyms.
