Yesterday, Epic Games announced that the Fortnite Reboot a Friend promotion will return in 2021 and will run from April 6 to April 26. Meanwhile, players can select three friends from their friends list on the ‘Reboot a friend’ website. I have not played Fortnite for 30 days or more. This will earn you special rewards as you play, but some players are wondering how to get rewards for rebooting a friend in Fortnite .
Earn rewards for restarting a friend
As stated in the FAQ, players can win four items as part of the promotion:
- Restart spray
- Heartbeat wrap
- Toxic Lightning Glider
- Carrot Plasma Spike (2 Variations)
Playing with one of your Fortnite friends “Reboot a Friend” (no matter who invites whom) will earn you 10 points. Your first Reboot a Friend game will give you a one-time bonus of 100 points each.
Epic Games has yet to reveal the exact point requirements to unlock these items.
How to get reboot rewards from a Fortnite friend
Once you have accumulated enough points to win a prize, it will be assigned to your account within 7 days of being unlocked by earning the required number of points for each item.
A screen will appear when you log in (or after a game), showing you the items that have been assigned to your account. All of these can be found on the “Locker” screen.
Are the rewards items exclusive?
Although they were never released prior to this event, Epic said the items may be available for purchase at a later date.
