Daemon X Machina Guide, Cheats, Tips and Secrets

The new work of First Studio, Daemon X Machina , is a shooter of the genus wick . This means that you will enter battles against androids, vehicles, giant robots and final bosses piloting your own Arsenal. Although the game is linear and has no loss , in this guide we will give you some basic tips for you to start your mercenary career.

History

The game puts us in the shoes of a mercenary who must accept orders (missions) from various companies.

Those companies are the ones that protect the areas they control on the planet from the Immortals, artificial intelligences that rebelled against humanity after part of the moon crashed into the planet, leaving it in ruins. With the help of other mercenaries, we will carry out the missions of these corporations and Orbital, the world government that ensures the subsistence of humanity. However, the parties’ objectives are not as clear as it first appears.

Basic advice

As we said, Daemon X Machina is a game without loss: the missions take place in closed environments and have a very clear objective . However, there are commissions in which you may get stuck, or mechanics that are not entirely clear to you. Next, we give some necessary advice so that you face your life as futuristic mercenaries in the best possible way.

Orientation in combat is very important

In this mecha game we will fight in 360 degrees . This means that, unlike in a traditional shooter , we will not have to worry only about what is in front of and behind us; As we can fly , we will have to be aware of what is above our heads and under our feet.

Therefore, you must always keep an eye on the action and another on the radar , which will be your greatest ally. Radar shows red enemies with flying arrows, with “T” of the same color to enemies that are at ground level (or on a building or platform), with green dots the deposits that create a dome of regeneration of life when breaking them, and with purple points the reserves of Femto.

The objectives of the mission with indicators (they can change their form according to the mission) of orange color. In addition, the allies are marked with light blue arrows ; and if you see a mark of that color with an exclamation on the radar, it means that they have been shot down: you can get close to them and restore their lives so that they return to combat.

You can change the controls

The control of Daemon X Machina is complex : there are buttons to take flight, land, shoot with the arms of each of the arms, replace the weaponry with the one placed on the pylons, use the missiles or cannons placed on the back, operate the turbo, get out of the mecha , and take cars and other objects.

Aware of this complexity, the game allows you to change the button configuration for one that seems more comfortable to you.

To do this, you must access the options, click on “Control settings”, and from there, you can choose between three presets and create your own button combinations.

Collect other robots’ equipment

In the main and secondary missions of the game you will sometimes face other Arsenals : sometimes they are robots controlled by Immortals (evil artificial intelligence), and in other cases, mecha operated by other mercenaries.

In any of the cases, we can take part of your equipment . When defeating an Arsenal, a red mark will appear on the radar with an exclamation, indicating that a robot has fallen in that position.

When you approach the device, the option to interact with the A button will appear. If you do, a screen will appear (while the action continues to happen on the battlefield) that will allow you to pick up one of their weapons or a piece of their armor: head , left arm, right arm or legs.

Picking up that gear will automatically send it to the Hangar for you to equip or sell after completing the mission. Of course, if you have a hole in any of the pylons or you do not have a weapon in any arm, you can use the ones collected at that moment.

The defeated Arsenal will remain there until the mission is complete , so don’t worry about quickly looting the team – you can wait for the order to finish and, during the countdown that appears before returning to the Hangar, examine the fallen robots.

Tips to face other Stockpiles

As you progress through the story, you will increasingly face more Arsenals , both controlled by artificial intelligence and piloted by other Mercenaries.

The general advice for both types is to try to face them with the battlefield clear : that is, prioritize flying robots, tanks and other simpler enemies before fighting against mecha .

That said, the weapons you take to a battle against a mercenary can make things very difficult or easier for you: these are enemies who will constantly be on the run and who are real bullet sponges.

Therefore, we recommend that you carry a self-directed missile launcher as a shoulder weapon so that you can strike blows regardless of whether they are flying across the stage at full speed. It would also be appropriate to carry a weapon that launches acid or fire to lower your defenses and that the blows you deal do more damage.

Of main weapons we recommend a fast assault rifle or a machine gun with a relatively long range; as well as a sword that is balanced between power and speed.

What is Femto and what is it for?

After the first few missions, the game will introduce the mechanics of the Femto. The Femto is marked on the radar in two ways. When there is little quantity (for example, when defeating an enemy) it will be shown as a purple dot. When it comes to an area where there is a lot of this material, it will show up on the radar as a red area.

The Femto is, at the plot level, the energy resource for which the different companies for which we work in the game compete. At the playable level, it is a bar in our HUD that will be used up when using laser weapons : pistols and rifles of this type, cannons and lightsabers consume Femto energy when using them.

To restore it, we either collect Femto energy scattered around the map , or we wait for the bar to gradually recover.

How to make new weapons and armor

One of the key features of the game is the ability to fully customize your Arsenal or robot. Not only aesthetically, but also in terms of weapons and pieces of armor that we will be getting in the game as mission rewards , and collecting the equipment of the Arsenals that we defeat in the main and secondary missions.

Most weapons and armor can be upgraded from the Factory, accessed from the Hangar console after doing the first few missions in the game. To make a component or a weapon, you will need the necessary credits and a specific object .

Thus mechanics is a kind of system of evolution . To give an example: to get the Grim Reaper III assault rifle we will need money and the Grim Reaper II weapon. But to get the latter, we will need the standard Grim Reaper.

In this way, we are getting weapons and armor each time improvements, but keep in mind that it is not always worth spending money in the factory, because much of the equipment that we can build we can also obtain by doing the side missions .

When we make a weapon or armor we don’t get it automatically. We will have to do a mission and fulfill it satisfactorily , and when we return to the Hangar, it will be ready at the Factory.

The use of modifiers

The complexity of customization in Daemon X Machina goes beyond changing weaponry and armor. These elements themselves can also be modified in certain cases.

Some of the weapons and armor that we will find will have spaces for modifiers (represented by squares on their tab): elements whose quality is represented by their rarity (as is usual in an RPG, from white to purple, passing through green, blue and yellow) and that we found in another team.

From the weapons and armor we get, we can extract their modifiers from the Factory menu for that purpose; Of course, keep in mind that every time we install or uninstall a module, we will have to spend credits.

Therefore, when we investigate the pieces of an Arsenal defeated in combat, sometimes it is better to take a worse piece with a modifier that can serve us for one of our components.

The modifiers vary our statistics percentage , granting, for example, greater resistance to laser weapons, better rate of fire or more speed of movement on the ground. Keep in mind that the weapons built in the Factory do not have spaces for modifiers; that is why sometimes it is more costly to get weapons and armor from the defeated Arsenals in main and secondary missions than manufacturing them

Upgrade your Outer so it can repair the Arsenal

The Outer is our character, the avatar that represents us in the game. Although most of the time we will be mounted in our Arsenal, sometimes we will go on foot: certain missions take place only with the Outer ; and when the mecha runs out of life, we will exit the robot and continue the mission on foot.

Our character is not very useful in battle , the truth, especially against Arsenals and final bosses. It is capable of laying electric mines that leave enemies blocked for a while, it can throw grenades that take a little life, and it has a robot with a normal shot and another loaded. In addition to not doing much damage, it has very little life.

In the Hangar Laboratory we can improve it , increasing its statistics (its resistance, the number of grenades it can carry, etc.) and its synergies with the Arsenal, making the robot move a little faster or propel itself faster.

But there is one talent in the skill tree that we encourage you to get as quickly as possible: the ability to repair Arsenal . Thanks to that ability, the Outer can get off the Arsenal and restore its life by staying by its side for a few moments (although it is a slow process) as long as the mecha has not been completely destroyed.

The skill is found in the upper body enhancement branch; She is the top talent at level 7.

How online mode works

The online mode of Daemon X Machina allows us to face some of the enemies of the game’s campaign along with three other friends , looking for new weapons and armor as a reward.

To access it, you must use the computer to the right of the Hangar , the one next to the dog and to the right of the main console.

From it we can create a room , customize it to make it public and private, indicate how many players can enter at most, the type of player with whom we want to share the experience (novice, expert, without microphone, etc.) and choose a mission.

Once all the players in the room mark their status as “Ready” (done from the same computer), the mission will begin and everything will proceed as in a normal game, with the difference that the rest of the companions will be players and not mercenaries controlled by artificial intelligence.

From the same console you can also change the mission to perform at any time . The list will be expanded as you progress through the campaign.

Collectibles

One of the key features of Daemon X Machina is that we can aesthetically customize our Arsenal: not only is there the possibility to change the colors of its different parts, but you can also put stickers on them . Most of these stickers all got complying main and secondary missions , but also obtained through collectibles.

In the scenarios of both types of missions we will find graffiti and logos . By passing near them we will be able to scan them, and by doing so, obtain a sticker with that drawing or logo when we successfully complete the mission.
