Competent : It refers to the one who has rivalry , competition , emulation, confrontation, pendency as well as the one who shows the skills, abilities, aptitude, suitability , expertise and sufficiency. The one who belongs in doing something to do the competition .

This word etymologically comes as an active participle of the intransitive verb “compete” and the suffix “nte” that indicates that it does the action, it also comes from the Latin “compĕtens”.
