We tell you all the commands for the Valheim servers and all the tricks or cheats for the single player mode in Valheim. Basically you can ban or kick players if you are the host of the game or modify the environment when you play by yourself to make things more interesting or simpler. We also leave you an extra to get infinite rare materials in Valheim and how to tame animals.
Commands Available on Valheim Servers
Remember that these commands can only be used if you are the host of the game and that you will have to use them from the command console by pressing F5:
- ban [name / ip / userID]: Ban a player from entering.
- banned : list of banned players.
- help : list the commands.
- info : system information.
- kick [name / ip / userID]: kick a player out of the game.
- lodbias [0-5]: drawing distance.
- ping : shows the ping.
- unban [name / ip / userID]: Unban a player.
All Cheats / Cheats in Valheim
Remember that these tricks only work in offline game where you are only playing. On open servers they are blocked. For the tricks to work you have to go to the command console by pressing F5 and typing imacheater.
- event [ event name]: Starts an event.
- randomevent – Starts a random “raid” event.
- stopevent : stops the current event.
- exploremap : Discover any map.
- ffsmooth : smoothing filter.
- freefly : photo mode.
- god : god mode.
- goto [x coordinate, z coordinate]: travels to the specified coordinates.
- killall – kill all nearby enemies.
- players [nr]: modify the difficulty.
- pos : displays the current coordinates.
- raiseskill [skill] [amount]: Raise the skill to the specified number, with 100 being the maximum.
- removedrops : remove objects from the area.
- resetcharacter – reset the character.
- resetmap : clears the map.
- resetwind : reset the wind.
- save : save the world.
- tame : tame nearby animals
- tod [0-1] : set the time of day, both values 0 and 1 will force sunrise and sunset, while 0.5 will force noon
- tod -1 : resets time of day to default
- skiptime [seconds] : advance an amount of time in the day in the game
- sleep : advance a full day in the game
How to generate resources in Valheim
To generate resources and let our imagination run in creative mode we will have to use the command “spawn” followed by the material or object that we want plus the quantity, for example; “Spawn Wood 50”

Collect generating a new World
Dungeons don’t respawn and neither do surface metals. If you are not lucky with your world seed you may have to browse or run all over the place to get what you need. Instead of waiting for luck, you can load a new world with what you want if you have a seed for it. The alternative is to browse for hours and find the biome you were looking for, perhaps only to find that it has no crypts in the swamp or that there is no silver on the mountain.
Put yourself in your “main world” next to a warehouse, as it is likely that you will come back loaded. So create a new world with the seed you need. Respect upper and lower case when introducing the seed.
Note: changing the world will remove all buffs / debuffs like rest / poison.
These without some useful world seeds are the necessary materials.
Abundant world of Copper / Tin / fine wood
Seed: frvwjPk3k3
Run north and slightly west and there will be a large copper node. Go back to your world and put the copper in the box – repeat as necessary. You can get Tin near the edges of the water.
Fine wood becomes a problem if you stay in a world because it seems very difficult to locate tree seeds that give fine wood. You just have to come into this world and cut all the fine wood you need.
Abundant World of Queen / Honey Bees

Run southeast keeping the tree line to your left. There will always be a hive of bees here (the hive can be on the opposite side). Shoot him with a bow and collect / repeat as needed. You can also get core wood here from some of the beams to unlock some recipes first (make a workbench and click the mouse in the middle or cut them if necessary).
Each bee will allow you to make a honey farm that can hold up to 4 days of honey. You will need quite a few to have enough potions.
- Note that in-game potions take a long time to ferment.
Overload cores
This is a good map for cultivating cores with a very short run. Clear the dungeon and get the cores. Run straight north from Spawn.

Iron
Iron is collected from the swamp and requires the second boss’s swamp key to open the dungeon doors.

From Spawn run northwest. Stick to the shoreline or forest line to avoid running through the swamp as much as possible. You can make all the iron you will need for a long time with 1 or 2 trips, depending on how many people you are equipping.
Silver
After defeating Bonemass you will get a lucky bone. Go to a mountain area and you will see bright stripes around your character when you are near the silver (or treasure). As you get closer to where you need to dig the chime sound will get faster if you are close (and slower as you move away).

This is the same world for Iron – but there is also a mountain very close to the spawn. Run northwest from the spawn.
Obsidian
At the top of the mountains you can find Obsidian. Required to get the Level 5 Workbench Upgrade.

Run southwest for 2-3 minutes to find a mountain (no rivers in the way). There are about 4 obsidian deposits but you only need 4 to upgrade the workbench along with some fine iron / wood.
Black metal / flax / barley
Unlike other metals that are mined, Black Metal is a drop. Obtained from “goblin” looking enemies on the Plains. The difficulty is to get enough silver to make weapons / armor with which it is easy for you to eliminate the enemies. But once you get to that point Black Metal is infinite.
Flax is gathered in goblin villages. Take the flax and plant it in your own fields. Plants will only grow on the plains.
You will have to get the barley from a chest. Barley will give you an amazing meal, whether it’s cooked fish or lox + blackberry meat.
Once you start growing the barley it is time to go visit the merchant to get a fishing rod + bait.
How to Tame Wolves, Wild Boars and Other Animals in Valheim
Taming animals is easy enough: make a pen and feed them the food they like. Tame 2 adults and if there is enough room in the pen then they will breed. Animals have to physically touch when feeding to reproduce (you can push them to force contact). If you have a large pen they will be able to raise more numbers but they will come together less frequently to breed. You can avoid this with wolves by having them follow you so they don’t scatter all over the place.
The offspring of domesticated animals will be the same as one parent rather than a mix. Once you get two maximum level parents, kill all the weakest specimens.
You can train a 2-star wolf but most likely it has appeared at night and only eats at night (this is a bug that will probably be fixed). Among other things, this means that if you move more than 12 tiles, it will disappear instantly (even if it is tamed successfully). You have to raise it with a “normal” one and then when the baby grows up it will be “fixed”. If the pup has no stars, kill the young wolf when it is finished growing and try again.
Two-star wolves only eat at night, which means that they only gain taming progress by eating at night (progress may end up being marked during the day). They will also try to run away and will not follow them. Accompany them with another wolf until the resulting cub is a 2-star pup. The 2-star parent will fade but the calf will remain and function normally (eat / raise / carry on as expected). The newborn cub will look like a normal wolf, but it will change as it matures.
If you have a choice, find some 2- or 1-star wild boars to raise. They will give you a ton of meat / leather. Two-star boars typically drop 5-6 items, and no-star boars typically drop 1-2.
