Best Arc Shinobu Vote Hunter Compilation in Destiny 2 Season of the Deep

While it can be very difficult to top the sheer power Hunters can have in other subclasses, a solid Arc build can really get the job done in Destiny 2 if you know how to put it together. This Shinobu’s Vow build is something I’ve been experimenting with for a while, and it can really pump up the damage right now in Destiny 2.

The reality is that Shinobu’s Vow’s in-game description doesn’t do it justice, and there are multiple benefits to using this exotic, especially in combination with certain Season of the Deep artifact mods.

I have found it best to be very specific with this build and understand what it is for. Arc Hunters are in a weird place right now, as the Void and Solar builds are capable of reaching ridiculous levels. This build is really designed to provide near-constant uptime on grenades, regular supers, and decent cycling on class and melee ability. It’s not designed to survive extreme difficulty levels, but it will absolutely dominate regular content.

dlprivateserver build breakdown video

The build takes advantage of the multiple benefits of Shinobu’s Vow to turn your Skip Grenades into a core damage mechanic. Combined with the mod options, exotic weapons and gadget mods, you’ll be throwing a grenade every two to three seconds. Successfully killing enemies with an empowered melee will fully charge your class ability, and using your class ability near enemies will fully recharge your melee. It’s a nice synergy that allows you to make mistakes and waste time in melee, but not suffer too much from it, as your melee will also generate a huge burst of healing.

we’ll be taking advantage of Shock , Ionic Traces , Orbs of Power , and no-decay Armor Charges to really power this build. I would also say that the Trinity Ghoul Exotic Bow is a very important part of this build, so if you haven’t had any luck yet, you can try focusing Rahool’s weapon on the Tower.

One very important thing to know is how the Lightning strikes twice mod works in this build. The mod gives you increased grenade recharge after throwing a grenade. This starts instantly when you throw the grenade. The mod will also extend the duration of the increased recharge rate with each Arc kill. So, you throw the grenade and the timer starts in just a few seconds. Move forward as Skip Grenades tracks travel, then take a hit when they kill something. If you kill something with the Trinity Ghoul’s Arc attack, that will also extend it. You can extend it up to 20 seconds and keep it there as long as you keep getting Arc kills.

Exotic Weapons and Armor, Legendary Weapons

Exotic Armor: Shinobu’s Vow Image from dlprivateserver

The in-game description dramatically understates Shinobu’s Oath, describing it simply as “improving jump grenades.” What it actually does is give you an extra grenade charge, damaging enemies returns grenade energy and they track further and more aggressively. This is a huge buff to the grenade and makes it virtually impossible to miss. When combined with our mod setup, the right attack can return large volumes of grenade energy thanks to the previously mentioned Lightning Strikes Twice mod. You’ll also have Ionic Trails in your path, constantly feeding you additional grenade energy and armor charges.

Exotic Weapon – Trinity Ghoul Image from dlprivateserver

Trinity Ghoul is a mob clearing monster when you get the Catalyst. Shoot arrows that spread apart, but you can aim straight down and fully draw the bow to decrease spread for easy precision hits. Those precision shots will cause the next shot to deal arc damage that can be chained between targets. When you get the Catalyst, ANY arc damage final hit will cause a chain lighting, as long as the weapon has previously scored a precision hit. Best of all, once you start getting those lighting hits chained, they just feed off each other over and over again.

This thing will melt groups of enemies, providing a lot of Siphon Orbs to use and a lot of Ionic Traces. Best of all, we can combine it with a heavy ammo seeker mod on our helmet to make sure we never run out of beautiful purple bricks.

While this build really sings with Trinity Ghoul, you can go with something like Coldheart gold risky if you prefer. The new Exotic Auto Rifle Centrifuse is also a decent option.

legendary weapons

Legendary weapons are really about filling gaps, and I would suggest a special like a shotgun or fusion. to face tougher enemies. Personally, I went for my trusty Waylander . In Power slot, he can run a machine gun of his choice or a rocket launcher as the hothead to take care of hits. You can also fall back on your trusty Ikelos Submachine Gun if you don’t have any Exotics that fit the build.

Super and Abilities

Image by dlprivateserver Super – Gathering Storm

Gathering Storm allows you to launch a staff of pure arc energy towards enemies. Deals damage on impact, then sticks and continues to damage enemies over time. It caught a slight nerf (as far as we can tell) going into Season of the Deep, but it’s still a shoot-and-forget Super that allows you to instantly switch to your weapons for boss damage phases. It also looks cool as hell, and style matters.

Skills

  • Class Ability – Player Dodge: This allows you to dodge near an enemy and instantly recharge your melee ability.
  • Jump – Triple Jump: no explanation needed.
  • Melee – Combo Strike:A quick hit, killing an enemy, deals bonus damage to your next melee, and this can stack three times. Killing an enemy with it also recharges your class ability energy and will heal you for a bit.
  • Grenade – Skip Grenades– A core component of the build.

aspects

For skins, we’ll be running State of Flow and Deadly Stream . These will fit our choices so far very well and will also allow us to pick four bow shards to really hone our build.

  • Flow State– This aspect allows you to amp yourself up when you defeat a shaken target. This will fit nicely with our Shards, as one of them will allow our grenades to make enemies shake.
  • Death Stream– This will cause your next melee after dodge to have increased lunge range, shock targets, and create a damaging aftershock. You can also melee attack any shaken target to blind them. Hitting the toughest enemies with a grenade, then a melee to blind them, can really save your bacon in tough fights.

fragments

Now, the Fragments. These can be purchased from Ikora in the Tower if you don’t already have access to all of them.

  • Shock Spark– Causes your Arc Grenades to hit targets. Remember, Jolt will stun overcharge champions. Regular enemies take more damage when shaken, and will chain lightning bolts to nearby enemies.
  • Ion Spark– Defeating a shaken target creates an ion trail. This can really amplify your ability feedback loop against trash mobs.
  • Discharge Spark– Arc Weapon final blows have a chance to create an Ionic Trace. This is tremendously important to our build and works wonderfully with Trinity Ghoul, who can cause so many traces at once because of this Shard.
  • Spark of Resistance– You will take less damage when surrounded by enemies. This is a great option if you have a hard time staying alive in content.

Artifact Mods

Our Artifact Mod options will be pretty self-explanatory, leaning heavily on Arc mods. Other than that, make sure you have the Champion Mods you need.

  • Authorized Mods: Arc –The armor energy costs of all armor mods that affect your Arc weapons are significantly discounted.
  • Authorized Mods: Melee –The armor energy costs of all armor mods that affect your melee are significantly discounted.
  • Electric Armor –Stay amplified longer while your Arc subclass is equipped.
  • Thundering Aftershock –Grants extra Arc Super damage if cast while critically wounded or while amplified. Lasts until the end of the Super Activation.
  • Amplified– Gain damage resistance while amplified.
  • Shock and Awe –Arc final blows, while amplified, call down a burst of lightning that damages and shakes targets.
  • Lightning Strikes Twice –After throwing an Arc Grenade, increases the recharge of the grenade for a short time. Bow final blows extend the duration of this buff.

armor mods

Armor mods are what really tie the build together, so newer players should be prepared to spend some time upgrading and even Masterworking their armor.

  • Helmet
    • Harmonic Siphon– Rapid Arc weapon final hits (because they match the subclass) create orbs of power.
    • Heavy Ammo Seeker– This is essentially buffed when an Exotic Primary is killed, and that means Trinity Ghoul will spill Heavy everywhere.
    • Ashes to Assets– Grenade kills provide Super Energy.
  • Arms
    • Firepower– Grenade final hits create an orb of power.
    • Booster Detonation– Dealing damage with a grenade gives you class ability energy.
    • Kickstart Grenade– Full use of your grenade’s energy causes some of that energy to be refunded. Picking up an orb of power will give you a temporary armor charge, and armor changes will be spent to return even more grenade energy.
  • Chest
    • Stamina Mods– choose the stamina mods that suit the activity you plan to play.
  • Legacy
    • Recovery– Picking up an orb of power restores you to health.
    • Innervation– Picking up an Orb of Power reduces the cooldown of the grenade.
    • Elemental Charge– Collecting an Ionic Trace (or Firesprite, Void Breach, etc.) will have a chance to grant you an Armor Charge. There will be a LOT of ionic footprints generated with this build.
  • class element
    • Bombardment– reduces the cooldown of your grenade when you use your class ability.
    • Proximity Room– Gives you an Overshield when you perform a Finisher. This just gives you some extra survivability if things go really bad.
    • reaper– the first weapon kill after using your class ability spawns an Orb of Power.

You can put any stat mod you want for your first column. Ideally, I would get as close to 100 Resilience and 100 Discipline as you can. Resilience allows you a degree of damage reduction, while Discipline reduces the cooldown of your grenade.
