For example, the developers of the Beauty.AI neural network tried to create a machine that would choose the prettiest girls at beauty contests. The set of photographs used to train the program to recognize standards of female attractiveness was dominated by white models. And in the end, AI decided that dark-skinned and Asian girls cannot be beautiful.
