I wondered about their application on Apple devices after I was offered a ready-made solution. MacOS Monterey introduces the ability to put a caricature as an avatar on your Mac’s lock screen instead of a pesky photo.
Apple’s idea seems to me to be extremely correct. Remember the last time you updated your AppleID profile picture? Personally, my image is from school. After all, Memoji at least doesn’t age.
In order to put memoji as an avatar on the lock screen, you need:
- Unblock Mac.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Tap on your Apple ID profile.
- Select the Memoji section.
- Customize your character for you.
- Then click Save.
The idea of Memoji on a Mac is implemented, in my opinion, very cool.
Interestingly, it will not be static, but animated. If you enter the wrong password, you may see an interesting reaction from the character. It seems simple, but very cool.

Quick Notes in macOS Monterey
Previously, the Quick Notes feature was only available on the iPad. Its main purpose is to create instant recordings without having to open the whole application. Now all the functionality of the Notes application has become available on macOS.
This is very convenient when you make purchases on the Internet and want to save the goods, and use the bookmarks in the browser exclusively for work. Or quickly throw a shopping list while browsing catalogs, and then leave the iPhone to the store. There are a lot of options.

How to create a quick note on Mac
On a Mac running macOS 12 Monterey or later, there are three ways to open Short Notes. You can use a keyboard shortcut, Hot Corners, or text selection.
You can create a quick note with the Fn + Q key combination, but you can change the settings at any time by following these instructions:
- Unlock your Mac.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Next in the Keyboard section, Keyboard shortcuts.
- Click on Short note and set the combination you need.

How to add a link to a quick note
Also, you can add links to notes . There is a separate button for this in the top panel. To save the required link:
- While surfing directly from Safari, open a quick note as described above.

- Then click Add Link.

Separately, I would like to say about creating Quick Notes on Mac by selecting text . Just mark the text with the trackpad, then double-click on it and select Add to short note. It’s hard to say whether the new format will take root or not, but it’s definitely worth a try.
How to reset Mac to factory settings
Finally, no dancing with tambourines. On all Macs, rolling back to System Preferences just got easier. In fact, in order to completely clean your computer, you just need to press a couple of buttons:
- Unlock your Mac.
- Click on the apple icon in the upper left corner.
- Go to System Preferences.
- Then click on the System Preferences in the top panel.
- Next, go to Erase Content and Settings.
- Enter your password and click OK.
Mac can now be reset to factory settings in two clicks.
During the uninstall process, your Mac may reboot. After completing the procedure, a “Hello” message appears on your Mac’s screen, indicating that the computer is ready to use. Follow the onscreen instructions and optionally choose to transfer data from your Time Machine backup when the option appears.
