The data displayed in the app will vary according to your personal diary, which you can manage by tapping on the Diary icon located at the bottom. In the diary you can enter the daily meals ( Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner , Snack ) by tapping on the Add food item and choosing whether to proceed with the manual addition of the meal or to scan a barcode (by tapping on the barcode icon present at the top right and framing the barcode of the food to be inserted with the camera of your device).

Also in the Diary section , you can add the physical activity performed by tapping on the Add exercise item and the amount of fluids taken, by pressing on the Add water option . At the end of the day, save your daily diary by clicking on the Complete diary button : in this way you will be given a report of your status based on the data entered.

Among the features of  MyFitnessPal there is also  Progress , which allows you to keep track of your results and add photos daily to periodically compare your progress.

Finally, by tapping on the Other icon , located at the bottom right and identified by the icon (…) , you can access all the other MyFitnessPal functions such as, for example, the Reminder section that allows you to set the times for each meal with the ability to receive notifications.

Lifesum (Android / iOS)

Lifesum is basically a free app that is available for Android (downloadable from the Play Store or alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS . Some features and contents, such as the ability to view a section dedicated to recipes, require the subscription of the Premium subscription , which starts at € 9.99 / month.

To start using Lifesum , you need to download the app on your device, start it and create a free account by setting your personal goal. On the home screen of the application, then, press the Create an account button and then tap the Start button.

Once this is done, set up your personalized plan, answering all the questions that are asked of you. You must, in fact, choose between the options that are proposed to you, in relation to your goal ( increase , maintain or lose lost ) and, subsequently, provide data regarding sex , age , height , weight and  ideal weight .

At this point, register for the service, choosing whether to connect Lifesum to your Facebook , Google or Apple account (by tapping one of the appropriate buttons) or whether to register via email by choosing Continue with email and entering Email and Password in the screen that is shown to you.

When the registration is complete, you can view the main screen of the app which indicates the calories you can take in the day divided by Carbohydrates , Proteins and Fats .

By tapping on the (+) icon at the bottom, however, you can add meals ( Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner and Snack ) and the foods eaten during the day. The food to be entered can be searched by name or brand using the search bar at the top or by identifying the product barcode using your camera.

Finally, it is also possible to add the physical activity performed: press the (+) button , select the item Physical activity and search for the exercise using the search bar by typing the name. You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you?
