- On your iPhone go to the Settingsmenu .
- Enter the Generaloption .
- Click on Software update.
- Tap on Download and install.
- Enter your unlock code.
- Wait for the iPhone to update.

Once you have the update, follow this process:
- On your iPhone go to Settings.
- Enter Battery.
- Tap on Condition.
Entering the Condition menu you can see three different messages. Pay close attention.
Message 1.
If entering Condition you see an “ Important notice about the battery . The battery condition reporting system is recalibrating maximum capacity and maximum performance capacity. This process could take a few weeks. More info… ”means that your iPhone’s battery condition reporting system is performing the calibration.
Note that recalibration of maximum capacity and maximum performance capacity will occur after a certain time with normal load cycles . If the process is successful, the recalibration message will be removed and the percentage of maximum capacity will be updated.
Message 2.
If after entering the Condition menu you see an “ Important notice about the battery . The battery condition reporting system is recalibrating maximum capacity and maximum performance capacity. This process could take a few weeks. For now, a maintenance recommendation cannot be made. More info… ” means that your iPhone’s battery condition reporting system is performing the recalibration. During this process, the iPhone cannot recommend battery service.
Take into account that if a battery deteriorated message appeared before, it will be eliminated after updating the device to iOS 14.5 . The recalibration of the maximum capacity and the maximum performance capacity will occur after a certain time with the usual load cycles. If the process is successful, the recalibration message will be removed and the percentage of maximum capacity will be updated.
Message 3.
If entering the Condition menu you see an “ Important notice about the battery . An error occurred while recalibrating the battery condition reporting system. An Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace the battery at no cost to restore its maximum capacity and performance. More information about service options… ” means that an error occurred while recalibrating the battery condition reporting system.
Please note that this message does not indicate a security problem. You can still use the battery. However, you may notice more obvious battery and performance issues. For that reason, it is best that you go directly to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider who will replace the battery completely free of charge to restore its capacity and performance to its maximum.
