There are many news that will arrive with iOS 14 , that’s for sure. One of them goes through Gobi , the new augmented reality app that Apple is cooking. It is very interesting because it is an AR application, so fun is guaranteed.
Gobi: what is it
As we tell you, this application is augmented reality and is being developed by Apple, for the enjoyment of the users of the bitten apple.
What do we know about Gobi for now ? An interesting advance is to know its name, because although at first it was believed that it would be a code name, it seems that it will be the one that reaches the market. And we also know its icon, a globe with an iPhone on a yellow background.
And its functionalities? We know that QR labels will be one of your strengths. Regarding compatibility, we expect wide compatibility, both with Apple’s circular and colored ones as usual.
With QR tags, Gobi could display information in the form of augmented reality, just by using the iPhone camera. It would be as easy as scanning QR codes when there were them and showing that information live and direct, to take it by hand.
It’s great especially to use around, at events, in restaurants, bars, shops … because we could have everything that we don’t see in sight, thanks to augmented reality, right in front of us.
What else will we see? There is also talk that lost objects could be found with the help of Gobi. How? Through sounds. It clearly refers to AirTags , confirmed by Apple and which we hope to have with us soon.
It is clear that Gobi promises and other novelties of iOS 14. We just have to wait and see what happens. On June 22 we will know everything.
