It’s time for Selfie-Mania ! The new web fever that has infected famous and not, intent on immortalizing their self-portrait for its diffusion on the net through the social networks Instagram and Twitter .Defined by the Oxford Dictionary as the word of the year, “selfie” has been declined in different terms according to the purpose of the shot: helfie if you want to highlight the hair, belfie if the B side is the master, welfie if the shot is within the walls of the office and still drelfie if, thanks to a glass too many, you want to share your intoxication with friends.
WHAT IS A SELFIE?
A selfie is a self-portrait of oneself made with a smartphone or tablet specifically to be published on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social networks . You take a selfie to reveal your #ootd (outfit of the day) to all followers or to show off your makeup just before leaving the house or more simply … to be seen.
The way of relating with a celebrity also changes, the cases in which fans request an autograph are decreasing more and more while the requests for selfies to immortalize the moment increase.
A selfie usually has some common aspects:
- you can see the arm that supports the smartphone, or the shot is taken in the mirror
- the places most subject to selfies are bedrooms and / or bathroom mirrors
- often the protagonists of the shots do not look into the camera.
