Trust GXT 834 CALLAZ review

Although the gaming peripheral landscape has become an important piece of the market for many companies, it is not easy to find performing devices at affordable prices. One of the brands that offers excellent alternatives at low cost is Trust. In fact, over the last few weeks I have tested the brand new TKL mechanical keyboard , the Trust GXT 834 CALLAZ . Below you will find all the details about the keyboard and my experience with it.

Packaging and Design

The sales package of this Trust mechanical keyboard is very simple. Inside, once opened, we find only the gaming peripheral accompanied by the instruction booklet.

As for the aesthetic factor, this GXT 834 CALLAZ comes with a minimal and compact design . The dashboard, albeit metallic, appears both to the touch and at first glance in plastic. The entire body is made in gray with satin finishes, above the directional keys the logo of the company’s gaming line stands out in light gray. The keys are made in black with transparent letters; this last factor together with the RGB lights allows to offer a really good glance.

The RGB lighting system is managed exclusively by means of a key on the keyboard and it is possible to choose between 20 different presets . Given the lack of software dedicated to customization, this was the only way to manage the lights.

The dimensions as already mentioned are compact, in fact the keyboard measures 367x 127x 35 millimeters for a weight of only 659 grams . It is therefore a light and compact peripheral that is easy to move and transport.

Technical characteristics and experience of use

As already mentioned, this is a TKL mechanical keyboard , i.e. without a numeric keypad. As for the switches, we find on this keyboard some linear Outemu Reds , with a life expectancy of about 50 million keystrokes.

The stroke is very satisfying, which is about 4 millimeters and also gives a pretty good sound for those who love Typing. Obviously it is a wired keyboard with a USB 2.0 output and a 180 cm long nylon-covered cable.

Moving on to daily use, this Trust GXT 834 CALLAZ was my companion during many days when I used the PC for work, study and gaming. In all areas the performances were optimal; when writing there are no problems even if the feedback of the keys may seem a little too plastic for the most passionate. During the game sessions on COD, Fortnite and LOL, the keyboard proved to be flawless with a very high level of precision and reliability that I honestly would not have expected on such a keyboard.

Price and conclusions

This Trust GXT 834 CALLAZ arrives on the market at a starting price of 49.99 € , however it is not difficult to find it on offer under 40 euros. It is undoubtedly an inexpensive keyboard suitable for those looking for simple and inexpensive mechanics. However, we must not be fooled by appearances as it manages to play its cards well in all types of use. The real drawback is the lack of software for managing and creating profiles that can then be used during gaming.
