The power of influence has long been known. Between 2007 and 2012, the series “Gossip Girl” dictated many of the fashion trends of that era. Before that, in 1998, Carrie Bradshaw had already influenced many fans of the series “Sex and the City” to visit the now famous Magnolia Bakery and wear Manolo Blahnik shoes. The difference is that today the communication vehicle has changed and influencers have moved from television to digital, where youtubers have gained a prominent place. Based on a sample of 43 youtubers, an increase over the previous year, the list of the 20 most influential youtubers in digital this year has eight new entries and many changes.
