Types and rarity of heroes in State of Survival

Having good heroes in State of Survival is strategically important. After all, it depends on the strength and skill of the heroes whether you can complete this or that task. At the moment, there are only 26 different heroes in the game (not counting the starting, epic hero). Some of them will become available as you progress through the story chapters of the game, while others can be opened by collecting fragments of heroes.

Each hero has their own skills and characteristics, so it is important to use them for their intended purpose. If you are just getting started in State of Survival, then we recommend focusing on only one hero of each type. This will allow you to simultaneously pump several heroes at once and get a good advantage in both PvE battles and PvP battles.

Rarity of heroes :

Rare(blue) – such heroes have increased health, but a small indicator of strength, as well as reduced attack and defense characteristics. In the game you will meet only two heroes of this rarity.
Epic(purple) – heroes with improved strength, attack and defense indicators. In total, there are 9 heroes of this rarity in the game.

Hero types :

List of heroes and tips for leveling

From the start, only 15 heroes will be available to you, including your main character – Sergeant. Such heroes are considered level 1 heroes . Characters of the second, third and fourth levels will unlock with the time spent in the game. The longer your settlement exists, the more heroes you can open.

Heroes to watch out for

We’ve prepared a full list of tier 1 heroes to watch out for:

Sergeant. Starting hero, which leveling should not be ignored. Due to the special skill “Machine Gun”, battles with the Sergeant become much easier.
Travis. One of the best epic heroes in State of Survival. Gives a bonus to riders, increases the lethality of troops and the speed of clearing zombie camps (marching). This hero will save you stamina, allowing you to destroy more infected. Also, this hero can be easily developed in the early stages of the game.
Maddy and Frank. One of the best heroes in the game, which can be upgraded to the maximum without in-game purchases.

How to get (find) new heroes in State of Survival

There are several ways to unlock new heroes in State of Survival. The main way is to find and obtain fragments of heroes. To start searching for fragments, open the “heroes” section, select the desired hero from the list on the left side of the screen and click on the “plus sign” next to the “find” button. A window will open with several items for searching for fragments of the hero:

Search for a hero. This item will become available after you upgrade your headquarters to the seventh level. You can use three free advanced searches and free premium search once 3 days.
Special data. Fragments of heroes are sometimes found when exploring and clearing Wasteland.
Hero set. In this section, you can purchase hero fragments by replenishing your game account (not applicable to some heroes).

How to level up heroes

To increase the level of heroes, you can use textbooks on practice (tactics) , which can be found during sorties, clearing infected camps, clearing buildings from infected and other events.

To use the available practice tutorials, open the heroes section, select the hero you want and click on the plus sign on the right side of the screen, next to the experience counter.

How to rank up heroes in State of Survival

To increase the rank of heroes, you need to find new fragments of heroes (see the section ” How to get new heroes “). When you collect extra hero fragments, they are stored in your warehouse. Go to the heroes menu, select the character you need and click on the arrow on the right side of the screen, under the item “hero experience”. Use extra fragments to increase the rank of your hero.

How to improve the skills of heroes

To improve one of the unlocked hero abilities, open the heroes menu and click on the corresponding skill on the right side of the screen, then click “improve”. To improve a skill, you will need to find at least ten excellent skill books . Click on the “plus” in the “military” section to open the search menu for fragments of heroes.

There are several ways you can find or acquire excellent skill books:

Search for a hero. Upgrade your headquarters to level 7 to unlock this event.

The best heroes to explore and clear in State of Survival

Sergeant, Rusty and the Ghost

Individually, these heroes are not particularly powerful. But if you use three commanders together, they can destroy almost any enemy (again, before starting the battle, pay attention to the recommended squad strength indicator). Best Heroes to Defend a Settlement in State of Survival
