Spirulina

Spirulina is a greenish blue single-cell algae famous for being an important source of protein , vitamins and minerals , which is why it stands out for its high nutritional value. Furthermore, it has a satiating effect.

It is generally used in dried, powdered or tablet form, although it can also be obtained fresh. It is widely used as a dietary and nutritional supplement, especially by athletes and people interested in losing weight.

It is often referred to as a superfood , but nutrition and dietary specialists discourage the use of this term, since a healthy diet is not based on specific foods, but on the appropriate combination of products with different nutrients.
