Sage contains essential oil

Which is mainly composed of thujone, then bornyl acetate, camphor, cineole borneol, salviolo, limonene.Among the other components of sage are the flavonoids, known for their antioxidant properties, tannins, oxalic acid, mucilage, saponins, resins and enzyme.It is a strong bactericide, it is indicated for the prevention and treatment of respiratory tract diseases such as coughs, colds, asthma, and throat irritations such as laryngitis and pharyngitis, with expectorant properties.

Also excellent in case of abscesses, gingivitis and gingival bleeding. In folk medicine it is used internally to treat gastrointestinal disorders, such as flatulence, diarrhea and enteritis.It has a powerful antisudoriferous action. It is also able to counteract the “caldane” effects of menopause, not by chance it is called natural estrogen. It appears that the presence of rosmarinic acid makes it effective.In exerting an antidiabetic action by reducing high blood sugar levels.

Sage essential oil
