With the new rune system you can improve the power of your hero, the power of his abilities and also the chances of getting new abilities
Rune System in Archero – How to unlock?
First of all, to enable the new rune system, you need to unlock the new talent = Rune Add-on
Once you have the Rune Add-On Talent, you can unlock up to 5 runes as you reach certain levels. And you will not only unlock runes, but up to 5 slots for passives, that’s how it works
- 1st level: you unlock the Rune of Power and one space for passive by rune
- 20th level: unlocks the rune Salvador and 2 space for passive by rune
- 40th level: unlocks the rune Recovery and 3 Space for passive by rune
- 60 level: unlocks the rune Courage and four space for passive by rune
- 80th level: you will unlock the rune of Luck and also 5 slots for passives per rune
So to have it all, raise the rune add-on to level 80 and you will have all 5 runes and 5 passives.
Rune System in Archero – Passives
There are 5 types of passives: Red, Blue, Green, Purple and yellow, each color is a different type of power, which can be normal or rare
To get new passives, use the Forge, each attempt costs 5,000 arrows or coins and also 5 runes. Compare the passives and if you like them more change them
Where to farm Runes?
The runes are a drop from the enemies, so playing in any chapter / level, you will end up getting them. But although there is no official information, it does seem that there are better places to farm runes:
- Normal Mode: Chapters 3, 6, 10 and also 13
- Hero Mode: Chapters 7, 9 and also 10
- Expedition

In addition, by the simple fact of using the forge, you can improve your attack and maximum Health:
- Runes of Power: +20 attack per 20 forges
- Savior Runes: +20 maximum health per 20 forges
- Recovery: +20 maximum health per 20 forges
- Runes of Courage: +20 attack per 20 forges
- Lucky Runes: +20 maximum health per 20 forges
Although there is a cap, and in total you cannot increase by this method more than 800 attack and 3,600 maximum health
Finally, these rewards are not charged automatically, you must go to Rune Rewards> Forge Rewards> and click on unlock.
