Parts of the House in English

Some names used for parts of the house in English are quite different from the terms used in other language. An example is the word “Attic”.

The houses of some foreign countries are slightly different from the houses that exist in Brazil. For that reason, in some of them, there are rooms that we don’t have here and sometimes we don’t even know. Due to the climate and the need to protect against tornadoes and earthquakes, for example, there are some peculiarities in the structure of houses in countries that face this reality.

Taking these differences into account, we made a very complete list with the names used in English for each part of the house . Check out our list!
