No interface, can’t connect to server, Unreal Engine error, anti-cheat issue and other Outriders bugs and issues

The Outriders demo was released at the end of February and was technically quite stable. But the release of the main game was not without its problems. Many players could not connect to the servers for many hours, and after completing the prologue, various bugs appeared. We’ve put together proven solutions for all common Outriders technical issues.

What computer do Outriders need (system requirements)

We studied independent tests of the game on various hardware and came to the conclusion that the official information is close to the truth, but only if you focus on a resolution of no higher than 1080p (1920×1080). Therefore, based on the tests studied, we have added recommendations for playing at 1440p (2560×1440) and 4K (3840×2160) at high graphics settings.

IMPORTANT: The game requires 64-bit Windows 10 and does not officially support 32-bit (x86) versions of the operating system.

Official minimum system requirements (720p @ 60 FPS):

  • Operating system:Windows 10 x64.
  • Processor:Intel Core i5-3470 / AMD FX-8350.
  • Video card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti / AMD Radeon R9 270X.
  • RAM:8 gigabytes.

Official Recommended System Requirements (1080p @ 60 FPS):

  • Operating system:Windows 10 x64.
  • Processor:Intel Core i7-7700K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600X.
  • Video card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX Vega 56.
  • RAM:16 gigabytes.

Outriders won’t start on Windows 7

The game is not designed to run on Microsoft operating systems older than Windows 10. In addition, a 64-bit version of the OS is required.

Kernel32.dll error / ‘Win64-Shipping.exe entry point not found’ / ‘getuserdefaultgeoname not found’ error

  1. Update yourWindows 10 version to the latest.
  2. If you are using Windows 7, then the solution from the previous error will work.

Outriders crashes on startup / Unreal Engine 4 Crash Reporter (UE4) error / vcruntime140_1.dll error / error code 23

Download and install RuntimePack . This is a complete set of all the libraries you need to run games. If it doesn’t help, then check the integrity of the game files on Steam:

  1. start Steam;
  2. go to the “Library”section ;
  3. Click RMBon the name of the game ( Outriders ) in the list on the left and open the properties;
  4. in the “Local files”tab, click “Check the integrity of game files” ;
  5. wait for the process to complete.

How to enable Russian in Outriders

Select Russian in the properties of the game on Steam, or switch the Language parameter to Russian in the settings in the main menu .

Screen resolution does not change in Outriders / image is too large (goes beyond the screen boundaries)

This error can occur if screen scaling is enabled on Windows. You can compensate for this as follows:

  1. Find the OUTRIDERS-Win64-Shipping.exefile in the game folder.
  2. Go to properties and go to the “Compatibility”tab .
  3. Click the Change High DPI Settingsbutton .
  4. In the option “Override scaling mode …”select “Application” .

No connection / failed to connect to servers / won’t start / won’t connect / won’t enter the game Outriders

Game servers are overloaded or technical work is underway. Just try again after a while (sometimes the next day). You can find out the status of the servers here .

Anti-cheat problems in Outriders

Disable all programs running in the background. If it does not help, then check your computer for viruses using the free utility Dr.Web CureIt!

Unable to join a squad in Outriders / game won’t join a friend

  1. Turn on cross-platform play in the Optionsmenu under Gameplay .
  2. Use the matchmaking terminal and generate the network code.
  3. Share the code with your friends and ask them to enter it on their terminal.

Error 0xc000007b in Outriders

Reinstall or update NVIDIA drivers. It is advisable to do a clean install to reset unsuccessful settings.

Outriders slows down / lags / lags

Check your PC meets the system requirements

Update your graphics card drivers

Visit the video card manufacturer’s website:

  • NVIDIA GeForce :The site will select the appropriate drivers. Just hit Search and then Download Now . After the download is complete, run the downloaded file and follow the instructions of the installer.
  • AMD Radeon :Scroll down to Search for your product and select your graphics card under Graphics . Click the “Submit” On the window that opens, click LMB on your version of Windows and click “Download” . When the download is complete, run the downloaded file and follow the instructions of the installer.

Important: Be sure to restart your computer after updating your drivers.

Enable high performance for your graphics card

For NVIDIA GeForce owners:

  1. Open NVIDIA Control Panelby right- clicking on the desktop.
  2. Select Manage 3D Settingsfrom the list on the left.
  3. Switch to the “Software Settings”tab in the main part of the screen and select Outriders from the drop-down list under “1. Select a program to configure “ (if the game is not in the list, then add the corresponding button next to it).
  4. In the list below, find the Power Management Modefunction and switch it to Maximum Performance Mode Preferred .

For AMD Radeon and AMD processor owners:

  1. Open Radeon Settingsby right- clicking on the desktop.
  2. Go to the “System”section .
  3. In the “Switchable Graphics”category , set the “Maximum Performance” graphics card as the main one.
  4. Click “Accept”.

How to tweak graphics in Outriders / how to increase frame rate

Optimal settings for a weak PC , close to the minimum system requirements:

  • Display mode:full screen.
  • Resolution:Native screen resolution (usually: 1920×1080).
  • Resolution scaling:100%.
  • Vertical sync:
  • Frame rate limiting:off
  • Viewing angle:
  • Graphics quality:
  • Effects Quality:
  • Texture quality:
  • Shadow quality:
  • Anti-aliasing:
  • Post-processing quality:
  • Object quality at a distance:

How to switch Outriders to DirectX 11 (D3D11) / low FPS mode on old graphics card

Add “-force -dx11” (without quotes) in the parameters for launching the game on Steam . This should fix some problems with older graphics cards.

No interface / no scope in Outriders

Exit to the lobby and enter the game again. If it does not help, then disable all interface elements, restart the game and turn it back on.

Outriders audio issues / audio clicks / audio wheezing

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
  2. Go to the Hardware and Sound section.
  3. Open the sound settings.
  4. Select the default device (there should be a green checkmark next to it) and go to its properties with the button below.
  5. In the “Advanced”tab select the default format “24 bit, 48000 Hz” .
  6. If it doesn’t help, then lower it to “16 bit, 44100 Hz”.

Outriders game has stopped working / freezes / crashes / error “DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG”

Perhaps the problem is overheating of the video card. Check to see if the fans of her cooling system are blocked by adjacent wires. If everything is in order with this, then try resetting the overclocking: go to the MSI Afterburner application and press the Reset button (if such a program is not installed, then the video card most likely did not overclock).

Outriders game not saving / error 0xc0000142

Check for Russian letters in the path to the OUTRIDERS-Win64-Shipping.exe file . You can quickly find the file through the “Search” in the explorer.

Where the Outriders save are

In the following folder: C: \ Users \ UserName \ AppData \ Local \ Madness \ Saved (the AppData folder is hidden – turn it on in the View menu ).

Gamepad not working in Outriders

  1. Remove the device in Device Managerand restart your computer.
  2. If that doesn’t work, then run the controller setupon Steam and manually set the Xbox Controller mode .
  3. If this does not help, then try connecting the gamepad over the wire.

XInput1_4.dll file not found

Go to the C: \ Windows \ System32 folder and find the XInput1_3.dll file . Copy it to the Outriders root directory and then rename it to XInput1_4.dll .
