Orange will incorporate the Movistar Supercopa channel into its offer

Next Wednesday kicks off a new edition of the reformed Spanish Super Cup, which has now become a tournament with four teams and two qualifiers. In this edition, we will have the participation of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Athletic de Bilbao . These will meet first in two semi-final matches and then the winners in the grand final. The broadcasting rights of this competition are held by Movistar, but we have learned that they have reached an agreement whereby Orange will incorporate the Movistar Supercopa channel into its offer to watch these games on TV .

Before getting into the matter to talk about the agreement with Orange so that they can broadcast the Super Cup, it is worth explaining how and on which Movistar + channels we can see it. It should also be made clear that this competition will not be broadcast open, a trend that is accentuating over the years. In fact, there are no longer open Champions League matches and we only have one LaLiga match per day (always teams outside of Europe).

Super Cup at Movistar +

Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic de Bilbao and Real Sociedad will play the tournament in the cities of Córdoba, Malaga and Seville. The confirmed schedules are the following:

  • SEMIFINAL 1: Real Sociedad – FC Barcelona Wednesday 13 at 9:00 p.m.
  • SEMIFINAL 2: Real Madrid – Athletic de Bilbao Thursday 14 at 9:00 p.m.
  • FINAL 1: Won semi-final 1 – winner semi-final 2 Sunday 17 at 9:00 p.m.

#Vamos (dial 8) will be the channel in charge of offering the entire competition. This is available with Movistar + or with Movistar + Lite, now in a special offer for the months of January and February. Carlos Martínez, Álvaro Benito and Julio Maldonado will be the commentators, habitual of the Movistar LaLiga Game.

#Vamos is not in Orange, but Movistar Supercopa is

As we have already highlighted, #Vamos is an exclusive Movistar channel that is not available on other platforms. In order to offer the Super Cup to its customers, Orange has had to reach an agreement with Movistar to include the Movistar Super Cup channel in its offer . This channel will be offered to customers who have contracted football with Orange TV who will be able to enjoy all the matches in this competition.

These contents will also be available on the Orange TV service for public establishments. Everything indicates that it will be located on dial 126 of the French operator’s TV and that, in addition to the matches, it will broadcast the rest of the special content that will be held around this tournament.
