As Muslims of course, we are taught by our parents and teachers to start everything with prayer and end it with prayer too. Also included in this case when we will set our feet, both when going into or out of places of worship of Muslims, namely the mosque.
In addition to being known as the House of God, we also know the mosque as a place of worship to carry out worship in congregation, recite or even other religious worship. As a noble place, of course when going in or out of the place, we are encouraged to read the prayer.
By reading and practicing the prayer, there will be more value to the worship we perform while in the mosque. Then, how did the prayer sound from the entrance to the mosque and the exit of the mosque, and what it meant.
The following is the lafadz of prayer when you want to enter the mosque and when going out leaving the mosque and Latin and their meanings:
Prayer to Enter the Mosque
عَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِيْ ْبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allaahummaf tahlii abwaaba ryahmati (a)
“O God, open me the gates of Thy mercy”
The above prayer is read when we will enter the mosque by putting our right foot first. Meanwhile, when we are leaving or leaving the mosque, we should read the following prayer:
PRAYER OUT OF MOSQUE
اَللَّهُمَّ ِّنِّى ْأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِك
Allaahumma innii as-aluka min fadhlik (a)
“O God, verily I ask of You”
Such is the reading when we are about to enter the mosque or when we are going to leave the mosque. Hopefully we can all memorize this prayer and practice it in our daily lives, so that it can benefit us all. Aamiin Yaa Rabbal ‘Alamiin
