He was born in Bogotá , Colombia on December 17 , 1950 . He is the grandson of urban planner Karl Brunner.
Trajectory
He graduated as an Architect from the Universidad de los Andes in 1974 .
He founded his own architecture office in 1978 , whose practice stood out for works such as the Plaza de Jubileo de Compensar, the master plan for the Ciudadela El Recreo (together with Germán Samper and Gustavo Perry), the residential buildings Arroyoviejo and El Vigía, and Velez House. Likewise, he combined his private practice with teaching at the Universidad de los Andes since the 1980s.
His relevance beyond the field of architecture is marked in the field of the city and the administration: he was an observer of the District Oversight Office, coordinator of the Interunion Committee for the elaboration of the Territorial Planning Plan of Bogotá (POT) and member of the Consultative Council of District Planning.
Being a member of the Colombian Society of Architects since 1988 , he was Director of Heritage at the Ministry of Culture, where he promoted the National Plan for the Recovery of Historic Centers, strengthened the Heritage Watch Program and the National Program of Cooperation against Illicit Traffic of Cultural Assets.
Death
He died in Bogotá on September 25, 2018 , at the age of 67.
