The origin of KFC is given to the year 1939 by Harland D. Sanders , who was the son of a family of farmers in Henryville Indiana. His father died when he was 6 years old so he started cooking and working very young to help his mother. At age 12 he left school to devote himself to helping on the family farm while doing various jobs with which he saved money; until in 1929 he began his first stage of entrepreneurship by opening a gas station in North Corbin, Kentucky.
At 5 years his father died. At 16 he stopped studying. At 17 he had already lost four jobs. At 18 he got married. Between 18 and 22, he worked as a driver and failed again. He joined the army and was retired. He applied for the judicial school and was rejected. He became an insurance salesman and failed again. At 19 he became a dad. At 20 his wife left him and took his only daughter. He became a cook and dishwasher in a small cafeteria. He failed to recover his daughter, but eventually convinced his wife to return home.
At the age of 65, he obtained his retirement. On the first day of his retirement he received a government check for a total amount of $ 105. He felt that the government was making him known that he could not support himself. He decided to commit suicide, It passed through his mind that it was not necessary to live longer when he had failed so many times. He sat under a tree to write his testament, but instead of writing what he had accomplished in his life. He realized there were many things he had not done yet.
