Biographical synthesis
He was born on December as September as 1964 in Santa Clara , Villa Clara , Cuba .
Graduated in Computer Engineering from the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE). He has been director of the Casa Editora Abril and president of the Cuban Book Institute , from 2000 to 2009 he chaired the Organizing Committee of the International Book Fair of Havana .
Founder of the cultural magazine La Jiribilla .
He created and coordinates the development of the Cuban Collaborative Encyclopedia EcuRed .
Edit the blog La Pupila Insomne, one of the most read in Cuba .
Member of the Union of Journalists of Cuba . He has been a member of the International Committee of the World Meeting of Bloggers and the Editorial Board of the Giga technology magazine .
He has given lectures at universities in Cuba, Spain , Brazil , Venezuela and participated as a speaker in international events related to communication and computing in Latin America and Europe .
He regularly collaborates with the international television channels TeleSur , Al Mayadeen and Russia Today .
He directs the television program La Pupila Asombrada .

Between the contract and the heresy , which, through a selection of his texts published on the La Pupila Insomne Blog, traces the years that go from the change of policy towards Cuba from the Barack Obama administration to the return to aggression intensified by the Government of Donald Trump , together with the analysis of the transformations that occurred during that period in Cuba, the death of the historical leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and also of the rise to the highest responsibilities of the State of a new generation of Cuban revolutionaries, it also includes interviews with internationally recognized figures linked to the sciences of economics and communication [1] [2] [3] .

He was a member of the Cuban internationalist contingent that defeated the South African troops in southern Angola. For his participation there he was awarded the medals:
