There are different ways to die in The Sims 4 …more than many people are familiar with through normal play. One of them is death by disease. Occurs when your Sim suffers from ailments that are not taken care of and severe /p that drain their stamina to the end. It is important to prevent and treat the symptoms, so I will tell you how you can do it.
Diseases in The Sims 4
There are different illnesses in The Sims 4 ranging from common ones (base game) like colds and fevers , through heartburn and motion sickness , to rabies ( My First Pet expansion ). They don’t usually come out of the blue. Your Sim begins to display various negative symptoms which you can confirm by looking at their physical and emotional state.
If it is an illness with mild symptoms , then it is likely to clear up on its own with some rest and time. Your status bars will take a hit, but nothing you can’t get back with a bit more work.
The real problem comes when the symptoms become somewhat severe. You’ll know this is because all of your status bars will plummet at an abnormal rate and the more you try to get them back by doing activities, the worse it gets. In this case, follow these steps.
- Go to the computer, use it and select “Place an order”.
- Select “Buy Medicines”.
- Confirm the order and pay the Simoleons they cost.
Once it arrives, it is added to your Sim’s inventory. Press “Take Medicine” to cure your Sim’s illness. He will feel fine again, but you will have to recover some of the status bars that you have lost so as not to relapse into an illness. My advice is to always have medicine on hand in your inventory.
In the case of expansion diseases , the process is the same, but you must ask for specific medicines or antidotes for some of them. They can also affect your pet, so keep an eye on it from time to time so that it doesn’t die. Obviously, you also need to take care of your family members and fellow Sims.
