As we have said, the network card is essential for surfing the net. We need it to work properly, have the proper drivers and be compatible with the operating system. In this way we can connect both wired and also through Wi-Fi networks, depending on the type we have.
We can install very different network cards. Some are Fast Ethernet, while others can offer speeds of up to 1 Gbps. There are also those that have several ports and not just a single one. As with any component of our equipment, they have different specifications depending on which one we are using.

Windows offers details of the devices that we have installed through the System Information. There we can find data about our network card. To do this we simply have to go to Start and write System Information.
Once we are in the System Information section, we must go to Components , Network and Adapter . There we will see the information of the network card that we have in our system.
It must be borne in mind that several may appear there in case we have more than one. For example, the Wi-Fi network card may appear, as well as the Ethernet network card. We can scroll with the mouse and see all of them, with their respective information.

This information can also be obtained through the command line. For this we have to go to Start, we write Command Prompt and once inside we have to execute the command ipconfig / all .

We can also see the details of the network card in Windows through third-party tools. In this case, we will have to install additional software on our system, although we will do it for free.
There are several tools of this type that we can use without having to pay anything. In our case we are going to test NetworkInterfacesView Tool . It is a free program for Windows and it gives us information related to the network card.
To start using this program, the first thing to do is download it . It is available in a 32-bit and 64-bit version. It is portable, so we will not have to install it on the system.
When we have it started we will see all the network cards, both physical and virtual, that are on our computer. Those that appear in green are those that are activated at that moment.
If we double click on any of the network cards that appear, it will show us information about that device. We can see data such as the name, IP address, DNS servers, MAC address … In short, we can see information about all the cards that are installed.
