How To Save or delete Google searches

Do you know how to use Recent Searches in Google correctly? As many of you know, Google is the most used search engine in the world , both on computers and Android phones, for example.

When we search for something on the net, it is usual that it is through its search engine. Everything we look for is recorded in the browsing history or activity history of the platform.

This is something that has its negative side, but it is good, because it allows us to search for something that we looked for a while ago in our account.

Recent searches on Google: save and delete

We may have an interest in saving or deleting recent searches on Google that we have carried out recently. This is something that we can easily do on our devices.

Save or delete Google searches on Android step by step

The recent searches in Google that we have carried out are saved in the activity history of the firm on our Android phone. This history can be of help if there is a search term that we want to rescue or if we visit a specific web page that we want to see again. This activity history also tells us the apps that we have opened on the phone.

If there’s something we don’t want other people to see because we’ve searched for something inappropriate, we can always delete that recent search. If we want to save any of the recent searches or delete some, the steps we have to follow on our Android phone are the following:

  1. Go to your phone’s settings.
  2. Enter the Google section.
  3. Go to the Google account section.
  4. Scroll down to the Data and Personalization section.
  5. Go to My activity.
  6. If you were looking for something to save, search for that search term and click on it.
  7. If you want to delete something, you can go to that search term and click on the three vertical buttons to its right and click on delete in the contextual menu that appears.

Clear recent searches in Google Chrome

If what we want to eliminate are recent searches that we have made in Google Chrome , that is, those terms that we have searched for in the browser, then there is also a simple way to do it. This is something we can do both on Android and on our PC. The steps are identical in both cases, so we will have no problems in this regard:

  1. Open Google Chromeon the device in question.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots located at the top right of the screen.
  3. Go to the Historysection .
  4. Click on History.
  5. If you were looking for something you wanted to save, search for that term in the search bar and then use your browser bookmarks (the star icon in the URL bar) to save it.
  6. If you want to delete something specific, search for that term in the bar and then delete all the results that come out in your recent Google searches.
  7. If you want to delete the entire history, click on Clear browsing data.
  8. In the new window that appears, choose what you want to delete and the period of time to which this data deletion refers.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Wait for that data to be erased.

With these steps we have deleted our recent Google searches , as well as saved those that we consider important or that we were looking for. A simple process that we can carry out in a matter of a few minutes.
