We all know the powerful tool or Software that Microsoft offers us to be able to use our computers easily and simply and this is Windows, and in its most recent update, naming Windows 10 as one of them,   although the Windows 11 update already exists .

Windows 10 offers us a series of advantages and benefits as main users, for the use of all the programs and software that can be executed in it, to carry out different tasks, one of them is to create and be able to store files, documents, programs , among others without data purposes.

In your Windows 10 you can have many problems with errors with applications, files and the operating system itself, for that there is a tool that can help us solve certain problems with errors that can occur in our operating system and this tool is focused on checking if there is an error or a problem with a system file.

How to check the integrity of Windows 10 and repair damage?

Here’s how you can check the integrity of Windows 10 and how you can repair platform corruption.

Using cmd

It is important that you know that the CDM command is a small console that is already incorporated into our Windows operating system, it works as a tool and helps us identify computer objects through special codes. The commands that we must place on the cmd screen are the following, SFC and DISM, below we will tell you how to do it.

With the SFC command

System File Checker (SFC) is a very useful tool that was created and programmed by Microsoft to be able to scan and check if there are errors or problems with your files and thus proceed to repair them.

You should know that you can use the run menu drawer simply enter the sfc system symbology and write inside the black box (command prompt) that the word ‘ scannow’ appears  and it will proceed to perform a check on your files in search of of errors and violations, you just have to wait for the test to reach 100% to get results.

Using the DISM command

Deployment Image Servicing and Management, or Deployment Image Servicing and Management, is a set of commands created by Micorsoft focused on identifying and repairing errors in images. In a few words, with this tool we can carry out the correct maintenance of our images stored in Windows

In the same way you can use the following command to repair and analyze files in windows for errors. DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Followed by this we proceed to hit Enter and that’s it. The verification process takes very little time, you just have to wait for it to load 100% so that it will give you the results of the scan.

What is the way to create a Script to execute commands and repair files?

  • We are going to press the right mouse button, we go to the ‘new’ option and press ‘text documents’, we are going to name this document ‘miprimerscrip’
  • It is very important that we change the extension so that Windows recognizes it as an executable script and not as a dot txt. Then we will write complete: ‘miprimerscript.bat’ and by pressing Enter we accept by clicking on the ‘yes’ option to what it asks us.
  • Then we are going to press the file with the right mouse button and we are going to look for the ‘edit’ option.
  • We’ll put ‘cd \Users\Name/desktop’ first (that won’t delete) then we can create a new folder through there like this; we write ‘mkdir testscritp’ look for ‘save’ and press. We close the tab to thendouble click on the document ‘miprimerscript.bat’ and it will create the folder for us.
  • We can also, for example, look at what our IP configuration is directly and more easily from the script. We open the document and press‘edit’ and write ‘ipconfig’ and below we write ‘pause’ so that the window that will open does not close before we see all the information, we save, exit and then double click on the script document to execute.

How to use the checker to repair system files?

To use the checker and repair the possible damage that our Windows system has, we are going to start by clicking the left mouse button on the Windows start icon, in this case we go to the cmd or the command prompt or what it would be in this case Windows PowerShell (Admin) .

After opening a new tab we are going to write the following:    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth or sfc / scannow and proceed to hit Enter and that’s it. The verification process lasts very little, you just have to wait for it to load 100% so that it throws us the following messages that will be the possible causes of the problem present in our Windows.

missing files

It is possible that the problem we have is that some files are missing and for this reason our system is not working properly.

It can also happen that these are hidden and therefore not visible when we normally go to the location where they should be stored, but don’t worry, if this is a problem, you can solve it through the run menu; enter cmd and hit enter.

Then in the command prompt you must write the following command C:\ ): attrib -s -h -r /s /c *.* Click on the key. Later you will notice that your files appeared again if they were hidden. It should be noted that these files are hidden because  they may contain malicious viruses.

that are damaged

We can find a message whose text expresses that Windows resource protection cannot perform the requested operation and this is because it may be that some of the system files that are damaged are the ones used by the operating system to be able to function and therefore we must perform this scan through offline.
