Add that all the means that we will use can be easily found at home. We leave you a list:

  • Chamomile Tea
  • Aloe vera
  • Apple vinager
  • Honey
  • Onion

Another option is to put anti-mosquito devices plugged into the current, these will keep them away during the night and allow you to sleep peacefully.

Chamomile tea

Chamomile tea comes from chamomile, a flower that is a member of the common daisy family, and is often used as a natural remedy for many ailments. When applied to the skin, the tea can totally reduce inflammation, relieve irritation in the area, and speed healing.

You can serve any chamomile tea bag, it does not have to be completely natural but if you have dried chamomile flowers, you can crush them and put them in water, put it in the fridge and wait 30 minutes.

Once the tea is prepared, we remove the bag, squeeze out the excess water. We apply the bag directly on the bite, we will leave it there for 10 minutes. Once 10 minutes have passed, we clean the area well with a damp cloth. If you find that the itch persists, you can leave the same tea bag in the water and reapply it later.

Aloe vera

Aloe Vera is a very common plant, most homes usually have one, either for decoration or because of the gel it contains with thousands of anti-inflammatory properties and its usefulness to calm infections. But do not worry if you do not have one, they are usually sold very cheaply and it is always good to have one at home.

To heal with it, we will only have to cut a small piece, cut it in half and the gel inside it we apply to the irritated area. Once applied do not touch it, let it dry so that it penetrates well into the skin.

Vinegar

The vinegar apple cider has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for medical conditions, from infections to more serious problems.

This can be very useful if you have an itch in a bite, with a simple drop it can help you reduce the sensations of stinging and burning. It can also act as a disinfectant if you’ve scratched it too much.

If this does not relieve you because the problem is even more serious, you can soak a cloth with cold water and vinegar and then apply it to the bite. If the mosquito has bitten you many times in a row, another remedy is to dilute 2 cups of vinegar in a warm bath and soak the affected part for 20 minutes.

Never bathe with hot water as it makes everything worse, and if the skin irration persists, do not continue with the vinegar treatment and go to your trusted doctor.

Honey

Honey is usually the most common option in home remedies, since honey has many antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It has also been used years ago for ailments such as sore throats and bruises.

Honey is very easy to apply since with a small drop on the sting it will reduce inflammation and reduce itching.

Onion

The famous onion juice not only serves to make your eyes water, it is also very effective in bites. These can reduce stinging and irritation as it has naturally antifungal properties.

You will only have to cut a slice of onion of any type and apply it directly to the bite for several minutes. Once you’re done, rinse and wash the area well.
