We tell you where to find all three safes, code combinations, how to open them and get the “Noble Thief” achievement
During the passage of the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you can find several safes hidden in two different missions. These safes contain useful equipment that will help you complete the task at hand. Opening all three safes will unlock the “Noble Thief” achievement.
Safe #1
- Mission: “El sin Nombre”.
- Location: Diego’s room.
- Code combination: 02-02-19.
- What’s inside: body armor and a Lockwood 300 shotgun.
After Alejandro frees you, go ahead to get to the BBQ area and grab two throwing knives. With their help, you can silently get rid of the guards. Go through the open door on the left side to find a balcony. Jump on it to get to the second floor.
Once on the second floor, enter the house and go up the stairs. Enter the first room on the left. You will find yourself in a room with a billiard table. Move forward and kill the guard blocking the path. Follow the corridor and open the first door on the left – the one opposite the elevator. This is Diego’s room. Go to the place where the bed is and open the closet. You will see a safe. Enter the code 02-02-19 to open the safe in the El Sin Nombre mission.
Inside this safe are body armor and a Lockwood 300 shotgun.
Safe #2
- Mission: Alone.
- Location: coffee shop.
- Code combination: 10-10-80.
- What’s inside: A throwing knife and a silenced .50 GS pistol.
The first safe in the mission “Alone” is inside the coffee shop. To get inside, go through the green door. But do not open the door, as a trap is set in it, and your character will instantly die. Go around the house and climb inside through the window. Once in the building, disarm the trap, pick up the shotgun and go upstairs.
Look for a door at the end of the corridor that needs to be opened. On the other side of the door you will see a dying man pleading for help. Ignore him and keep moving forward to enter the coffee shop. Go to the left side and look on the left hand for a door with a “No Entry” sign. Open it with a crowbar, go inside and open the safe by entering the code combination 10-10-80.
Inside the safe, you will find a throwing knife and a silenced .50 GS pistol.
Safe #3
- Mission: Alone.
- Location: workshop.
- Code combination: 37-60-80.
- What’s inside: a throwing knife and a crossbow.
After leaving the coffee shop, move down the stairs, go back and use the door near the bar. Sneak your way outside and enter the blue door near the parked white car. There will be a safe in front of you – next to the microwave. Open it using the code combination 37-60-80 to get a throwing knife and a crossbow.
