Memorizing definitions has always been a major concern of every student. Suffice it to say that from the beginning to the end of the year there is a new concept to be memorized practically every day in every subject. Do you have any idea of the amount of information to keep in mind?

But how do you effectively memorize the definitions? What methods can be counted on, and with what results? Let’s see them.

Fast memory techniques are very useful, as long as you know how to use them. Of course, they are particularly effective especially in some subjects, where for example they can be used to remember numbers, dates, mathematical formulas. If you want, let’s talk about it here:

However, there is a very effective method that can come in handy when it comes to memorizing definitions, and that is that of flashcards. To learn more you can read here: how to memorize with flashcards

What are flashcards and how do they work?

Briefly – and limited to the topic that interests us now – flashcards are made up of two parts : two separate cards, which must be joined together in a logical way. Our advice is to write a word or concept on one part of the cards and its definition on the others. The next step will be to match the cards together so that the right definitions can be created, and the memory can be consolidated with the combination.

Also keep in mind that the process of writing the definitions is in itself a mnemonic work: already by building the cards you will actually review the definitions, and it will be easier to keep them in mind.
