TikTok, as well as LinkedIn, gives users the possibility to know who has viewed their profile through an official and internal function of the app which – by default – is deactivated.
By activating your activity status (which in Italian shows the view history entry ), you will be able to see who has viewed your profile – in the last 30 days – as long as the person who has peeked at your activities has also activated the function. Otherwise you will not be able to see anything. Exactly as it happens with the double blue ticks of WhatsApp: if you have activated the read receipt, you will be able to see it even when you are writing in a chat.
How to know who is watching TikTok
The only way to know who is watching your TikTok profile is by activating the VIEW HISTORY (in the English version the item is called ACTIVITY STATUS) by following these simple steps:
- Open the TikTok app;
- Touch the PROFILE / PROFILE item at the bottom right;
- Touch the menu at the top right (the three lines one below the other)> SETTINGS AND PRIVACY (Settings and Privacy)> PRIVACY;
- Activate the ACTIVITY STATUS item.
This item is DISABLED by default , which is why we just explained how to activate it.
Remember that the names you will see (ie those of those who have looked at your profile) are ONLY those of those who, like you, have activated the function. It therefore means that if – for example – Super Pippo has viewed your profile but has not activated the function, you will never know of his visit as his name will not appear in the list.
There is a second way to activate the feature much faster:
- Open the TikTok app;
- Touch the item INBOX / INBOX;
- From the ACTIVITIES list select the PROFILE VIEWS item;
- Tap TURN ON to activate it.
