The reach of the modding community is especially impressive considering that, unlike Skyrim, Grand Theft Auto V was not designed for modders . There are no official tools for creating mods, nor is there an official way to add existing mods to the game.
What is Script Hook V?
Script Hook V is the library that allows you to use the native functions of GTA V scripts in custom plugins *.asi. How to install Script Hook V
Installing this script requires that you have both the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (or higher, skip this on Windows 10) and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package for Visual Studio 2019 (x64) .

In the zip file, there is a folder called ‘bin’ with three files.
- dll:This is the latest ASI loader, which allows loading libraries with the .asi extension.
- dll:Allows you to use custom scripts in GTA 5.
- asi:You don’t need this trainer, but it’s there if you want it. Allows you to do all kinds of cheats in single player mode, such as changing skin, changing time of day, teleporting, being invincible, etc.
Take dinput8.dll and ScriptHookV.dll (and the trainer, if you want) and put them in your GTA 5 game directory, where GTA5.exe is located. On Steam, it is the following path:
