Increase your FPS in Valheim
It all comes down to setting the correct startup option on Steam. You would probably assume that Valheim is running in full screen when you first launch the game.
However, it actually works in windowed borderless mode. Switching to full screen allows the FPS to increase more significantly than what gamers are used to.
With Vulkan disabled, you’ll need to head over to the Steam startup options to add a line of code. Just right click on Valheim, go to Properties and insert the following code: -window-exclusive mode -screen-fullscreen.
This will force the game to run in full screen and give Valheim a huge boost when it comes to his FPS.
If you still find that the game is not running in full screen, press Alt + Enter to switch to windowed mode and repeat it again to return to full screen mode.
This small fix allowed players to normally go from 45-50 FPS to much higher 80-100 FPS. Unfortunately, in some cases this does not work. In this case, I hope the developers at Iron Gate AB can fix the problem.
