The new MM-Mei skin in Overwatch puts one of the game’s most peaceful heroes in an Octagon-ready disguise. But this skin is a little different from the others. Here’s how to get the MMA skin for Mei in Overwatch.
How to get the MM-Mei Overwatch mask
To get the MM-Mei skin of Mei in Overwatch, players must spend 200 OWL tokens in the store. Just press R2 or the right trigger at the main menu to enter the store and see the previous screen. This skin, like all other OWL cosmetics, is also available for a certain time. It will be on sale from April 28 to May 11 and then it will return to the vault.
This skin is celebrating the May Melee Tournament, taking place May 6-8. The top four teams in the Overwatch League will compete for the title. This mask, in all its MMA glory, is meant to convey that competitive tone.
Players can obtain OWL tokens in different ways. Players can buy them. It’s $ 10 for 200 tokens, so this skin is effectively $ 10. But players can also get free coins by watching the OWL live or signing up for a certain Blizzard. Blizzard also shared some thoughts on the skin.
“Since May Melee is the first Overwatch League tournament of the year, we wanted to design a design that represented the peak of the competition,” said Blizzard. “We felt that combat sports like boxing and mixed martial arts embodied the theme well and we used it to start designing the legendary skin. Last year we saw others in the community having fun with May-Mei’s pun and therefore we felt that Mei was the obvious hero pick for a May Melee skin. ”
