How to get Majora’s mask in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Majora’s Mask is an infamous item in the Zelda series, easily recognizable by its colors and strange bulging eyes. He returns in Tears of the Kingdom, but how do you get Majora’s Mask and navigate the treacherous Floating Colosseum?

How to get Majora’s mask from the floating Colosseum in TOTK

Due to its strength, finding and earning Majora’s Mask is a real challenge in Tears of the Kingdom, regardless of your experience with the Zelda series.

Specifically, it is located in the Floating Coliseum, just northeast of Mu-ustust Lightroot in the Depths of Hyrule. The coordinates of the Colosseum are: -1551, -1263, -0499.

The Colosseum can be reached from a couple of locations within the Depths, one of which is Mu-ustust Lightroot . From this POI, players should use the hill to the east. on the other, Nogukoyk Light Roots players should use the north ridge and then work west.

You’ll find a workstation as you get closer to the Colosseum, so you can craft a vehicle of your choice along the way. This is not essential to actually access the Colosseum – there is an entrance that can be accessed on foot to the north. However, it’s probably faster to sail or fly.

Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as getting to the Colosseum and being rewarded with Majora’s Mask. Once inside, players will see a Chest trapped in Gloom. As he gets closer, he will trigger the battle of the Colosseum in which, in true Roman style, Link will have to face five different Lynels.

These Lynels are unaffected by frostbite, shock, and disorientation, as well as becoming increasingly difficult. In order, they are: Red Lynel, Blue Lynel, White Lynel, Silver Lynel, and Armored Silver Lynel.

When the last Lynel is defeated, the Chest in the center of the Colosseum will open, presenting a link to Majora’s Mask. Described in-game as: A creepy mask passed down from ancient times. Using it makes it harder for certain enemies to detect you. It is quite a rare find.

While there are no other tangible bonuses to the mask, such as a defense or attack boost, it prevents standard enemies such as Lynels and Bokoblins from immediately attacking Link. Instead, they will approach the protagonist and investigate him. They’ll soon realize he’s an enemy and attack, so don’t take liberties, even if they leave you alone to begin with.

That’s all there is to know about the Floating Colosseum and Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom. For everything else TOTK, including how much damage Master Sword does and where to find Oil Jars, stick with us here.
