The island has a vast fauna filled with animals. When you capture an animal, it’s placed in your Pasture, where you can take care of it by giving it the nourishment it needs. You’ll get “leavings,” a material you can collect for happy animals from time to time. Depending on which animals you have in your Pasture, you’ll be able to get milk, fur, horns, fleece, and more from them.
The main reason you should capture rare animals in Island Sanctuary is the very materials they give. These essential resources can only be used when crafting island-exclusive items you can later sell in your Workshop for Seafarer’s Cowries. Plus, if you want to ensure your stock is always full enough for your workshop production, it’s almost necessary for you to capture different animals for your Pasture.
