Flying into the different colored rays that shine in the sky will guide you to particular areas. It’s also worth noting that by using the loftwing amiibo you can travel through the sky and return from anywhere.
Skyloft
Skyloft is also in the clouds, the largest land mass in the sky. Whenever you want to go back, look for a bird statue and hover over it. It shouldn’t take more than a few seconds.
