Starting a new habit, especially after the new year, is relatively easy – whether it’s sports, changing your diet or even meditation. However, maintaining such a habit is quite difficult. If you have decided to include meditation in your life, congratulations. You have done a great thing. Below we will try to advise you on how to maintain this practice and be able to improve your life in the long term thanks to it.

1) Choose a time for meditation

‍ Try to meditate at the same time every day. This will help you incorporate meditation into your daily life. You can start with 10 minutes a day, which can then be gradually extended.

2) Prepare the place

‍ It is important to choose a comfortable place for meditation where nothing will disturb you. You can set aside, for example, a corner in the living room or room where you will be able to focus only on meditation.

3) Choose an appropriate meditation technique

‍ Meditation can really take many forms . It’s best to try a few and see which one works best for you.

4) Create goals

‍ Goal setting For example, determine the length of meditation or the number of meditation sessions you want to complete each week/month. It is also a good help to practice meditation after some other habit that you have already adopted, for example brushing your teeth or eating breakfast.

5) Try a meditation app

Most people who start meditating only last a short time. However, something quite magical can happen with the creation and maintenance of a new habit. Studies show that meditation can improve your mental health and cope with challenging situations. So by acquiring a new habit of meditation, you can start living a happier and more fulfilled life.
