As anticipated in the introduction of this tutorial, in fact, it is a native functionality made available by Facebook , usable in the social network through its app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store and also from alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ). Furthermore, as I will explain to you in this tutorial of mine, you can also use Marketplace from a PC , via the official Facebook website or using its application for Windows 10 and later versions.
That said, to take advantage of the Marketplace immediately, you can activate its icon in the Facebook quick link bar , following the instructions I am giving you in the following chapters.
Android and iOS
To activate the Marketplace icon in the Facebook quick links bar , via the app for smartphones and tablets, press the ☰ icon to display the social network’s side menu.
Once this is done, tap on Settings and privacy> Settings> Quick Links> Quick Links Bar . At this point, move the lever located at the Marketplace item to ON to activate its icon in the quick link bar which is located at the top or at the bottom (depending on whether you are using the Facebook app on Android or iOS / iPadOS), on the main Facebook screen .
PC
Using Facebook from a PC, it is not possible to manually intervene to activate the Marketplace icon in the quick link bar since this setting change functionality can only be used in the social network app for smartphones and tablets .
However, if your intent is to activate the Marketplace in the quick link bar of the Facebook website (or its application for Windows 10 and later versions), in order to be able to use the service in question more immediately, you will be happy to know that the quick link settings applied on Facebook by Android and iOS / iPadOS are automatically activated on PC as well .

How to use the Marketplace on Facebook

Therefore, follow the instructions you find in the following chapters, to start using its main features on smartphones and tablets , as well as on PCs .
From Android and iOS
As anticipated, to use the Marketplace on Facebook on a smartphone or tablet, simply download and install the Facebook app for Android (downloadable from the Play Store and also from alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ).
Therefore, to start, starts the app recalling it from the drawer of Android or from the Home Screen / Library app of iOS / iPadOS , performs access (if necessary) and presses on ‘ icon Marketplace located at the top or bottom bar dell’ app (depending on whether you use Android or iOS / iPadOS ).
Alternatively, you can access the same section by pressing the ☰ button , then the Other … item located in the menu that opens and, finally, pressing the Marketplace item .
Once this is done, you can view a series of ads relevant to your preferences and place of residence, divided by category: if you intend to save one to view it later, tap it and then press the Save button . In fact, at any time, you can view the saved ads by first pressing on the little man icon and then on the Saved Products item .
If you wish, you can change the position of the displayed ads, by pressing on the predefined place at the top right, in order to search, using the appropriate search engine, for the city or district relating to which you want to see the ads.
In addition, with the help of the Categories and Search buttons ( the magnifying glass icon) you can only view the ads related to a specific category or search by name.

Do you think it is more convenient to make your purchases through your computer, so do you have every intention of using Marketplace on Facebook from your PC and accessing the showcase through the browser at your disposal or using the Facebook application ? Nothing simpler!
First, connect to the main Facebook page or launch its application, and log in if necessary in order to view its home screen.
After that, click on the quick link Marketplace in the top bar or click on the item Marketplace located in the left bar of shortcuts.
At this point, you can see the Marketplace showcase : in the central box, in fact, some items for sale are displayed, recommended according to your preferences; however, if you wish, you can use the search bar to carry out targeted searches.

To view an ad, click on it so you can read it and possibly save it as a favorite (the bookmark icon ). Saved announcements are visible in the Purchase> Saved Item section .
Using the ad card for an item for sale, you can see the location of the item or the seller on the map , and ask for further details by sending a message via the Send a message to seller button .
