Meta , the parent company of Facebook, has designed Facebook Protect , a security program that increases protection for those users who, according to the social network itself, are more exposed to threats of hacking their accounts.The most sensitive categories for Facebook in the face of a hack are politicians, journalists and human rights activists.
How does Facebook Protect work?
Specifically, the categories that for Facebook present a greater probability of being the target of attacks against their accounts are politicians, journalists and human rights activists . These are groups that, if they see how someone is accessing their accounts in an unauthorized manner, can see how their usurpation contributes to the dissemination of harmful, controversial or fake news messages .
Faebook Protect is a program that is mandatory for these types of accounts, but some of the targets of this added protection are running into an unexpected problem.
