Shortly after the launch of the new FIFA 2020 and PES 2020, we compared and exposed the characteristics of the best soccer games. Which is better? FIFA or PES?
Like every year, EA Sports and Konami face off in a duel to decide what is the best soccer game in recent memory. FIFA or PES? What novelties does each one bring?
Pro Evolution Soccer 2020
On the one hand we find the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) . The main novelties of this year’s update are in the new licenses: as for the European ones, these will have Juventus , as an exclusive team, and the full licenses of Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona . At the same time, the licenses of the Argentine league will also be renewed, achieving the exclusivity of Boca Juniors and River Plate , which includes both the names, shields and logos as well as the rights to the stadiums, and a full license of all the teams of the first division of that country.
Another attraction of PES 2020 is the fact that soccer legends such as Ronaldinho (who will pose on the cover of the “Legendary” version ), Gabriel Batistuta and Diego Armando Maradona can be used .
As for the technical section, we find improvements in artificial intelligence technology , which will mean an increase in the difficulty of a solo game and a new system called Finesse Dribbling , which allows the user to create their own “watermarks” .
FIFA 2020
On the other side of the ring is FIFA 2020 , which will not only seek to improve its most popular game mode, FIFA Ultimate Team , but will also focus on the most classic players through the VOLTA mode . EA Sports listened to the request from old school users and made this amazing extra available along with a copy of the game. This mode will be similar to the highly acclaimed FIFA Street series , launched between 2005 and 2008 for previous generation consoles .
In VOLTA it will be possible to play on concrete courts, paddocks, five soccer fields and it will also have its own story mode. All matches will have a maximum duration of three minutes and in them the rules of street football will be applied: there will be a flying goalkeeper, the ball will bounce off the wall to create plays and there will be no cards .
As for the FIFA Ultimate Team, there will be three new modalities: the first, called Maximum Chemistry , will allow teams to be created without the need for their players to have chemistry between them; in the second, known as the Mysterious Ball , changes will occur in the ball each time the game is resumed, improving or worsening statistics; and the last modality, called King of the Hill , will consist of keeping the ball in a certain area and keeping it as long as possible.
Like its rival, FIFA 20 will present improvements in artificial intelligence and ball physics and will generate a more realistic game experience thanks to a greater demand for precise shots.
FIFA 2020 and PES 2020: trial versions
If you still haven’t decided which one to buy, both games will have a trial version so you can try and choose between FIFA 2020 and PES 2020.
The PES 2020 demo weighs around 5.9 GB and has the following equipment:

As for the release dates, while FIFA 20 will be presented on September 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC , PES 2020 will do so a few days earlier, more specifically on September 10
