Enoxaparin Medicine

Enoxaparin is a medicine known commercially as Clexane.This medicine is an anti-coagulant, which is widely used for injection in case of myocardial infarction.Enoxaparin prevents blood from clotting in blood vessels, increasing the safety of patients who had surgery and had to change heart valves.

Enoxaparin Indications

Thrombosis (venous, pulmonary and cerebral); myocardial infarction; clogging of the cerebral vessels; cardiac arrhythmia.

Enoxaparin Side Effects

Changes in the blood; mental confusion; pain; fever; bleeding; swelling; irritation;bloodstains at the injection site; allergic manifestations; nausea.

Enoxaparin Contraindications

Pregnancy risk B ; lactating women; individuals who have had a stroke recently; children.

Enoxaparin Instructions for Use

Injectable Use


  • With moderate risk of blood clotting : Administer 20 mg Enoxaparin daily in a single dose for 10 days.
  • At high risk for blood clotting : Administer 40 mg Enoxaparin as a single dose for 10 days.
