Trajectory

She trained as an architect at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Medellín in 1988 , to then continue in France at the Université de Paris Villemin a master’s degree in theories of architecture and at Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne master’s and doctorate studies in philosophy of art .and art sciences. He is a professor at the National University of Colombia, Medellin Campus, where in addition to directing a project workshop course, he creates and coordinates the first Master’s Degree in Architecture in the city. He prefers to investigate the modern project from a philosophical and aesthetic perspective. She is the founder of her own studio CVA Arquitectos. Her professional practice has given her the ability to quickly solve the challenges of architectural design , an extremely valuable tool when it comes to teaching.

In his projects for both collective and single-family housing , the relationship with the landscape is a fundamental premise, always seeking to generate the maximum façade of living spaces. In the multi-family dwelling, he opts for regularity and flexibility in the floor plan, in the apartments he locates the bedrooms and living-dining room towards the façade; the kitchen , integrated into the social space, with the bathrooms and clothes on the party wall with the other apartment. In addition, it makes important commitments to the design of the common areas, the facades, the fixed points and the insertion in the urban environment, since these elements are the ones that will remain the same over time .. In private houses he explores more, in them not only does each space enjoy the best view through large windows, but there he has chosen to activate the house spatially with the introduction of small gardens in unusual spaces such as bathrooms, which for It is the place of contact with the water and therefore with nature .
