Creole Gazpacho

Creole Gazpacho : The popular Iberian gazpacho is attributed Roman or Arab origins, but in reality its main ingredients, such as tomato and pepper, originate from the American continent and were not known in Europe until the arrival of Christopher Columbus in our region. The name of this dish, of uncertain origin, seems to come from the Roman dandruff, which means chub or fragment, and refers to the fact that it is prepared with breadcrumbs; the suffix acho is Mozarabic. In Spain , its geographical origin is attributed to Andalusia and is linked to the high temperatures in this region. Thus, the gazpacho is cold soup or whipped salad, according to the opinion of the diner.

The traditional version of this drink was made in mortar, but with the appearance of the domestic blender this method was forgotten. Gazpacho is currently enjoyed in many places on the planet, since the rise of the so-called Mediterranean diet.

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoons of lemon added
