How to fix Windows 10 update error 0x800f0922
Update error 0x800f0922 will prevent you from installing certain updates and speaking of update errors, here are some similar issues that users reported:

Solution 2 – Check .NET Framework
The possible culprit for this annoying error may be the .NET Framework. So make sure you have the latest version of the NET Framework installed.
Also, you probably want to enable it in Windows functions . To do so, follow these instructions:
- Open Search Windows Console and type Windows Features .
- Click Turn Windows Features On or Off .
- Check the boxes related to .Net Framework and save the selection.
- Restart your PC.
Keep in mind to use this with caution as there are some essential features. Just enable NET Framework and go ahead.

Solution 3: turn off your firewall
We know this is strange, but even a firewall can prevent updates from time to time.

However, you will need to enable it before installing the updates. To disable the firewall, do the following:
- Go to Search Windows and type Firewall . Select Windows Defender Firewall .
- Open Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
- Disable Firewall for private and public networks .
- Save your selection.
- Try to update now.
Remember to enable Firewall before proceeding to install updates. Also, your safety may be in jeopardy, and we don’t want that for sure.
In addition to Windows Firewall, your antivirus software can also cause this problem to appear. To fix the problem, it is recommended to disable certain antivirus features and check if that helps.
If the problem persists, you must completely disable your antivirus.
In the worst case, you may need to uninstall your current antivirus. If removing the antivirus solves the problem, it is recommended to switch to a different antivirus solution.

Solution 4: use a third-party partitioning tool to resize the partition
If somehow, due to excess data, your system partition lacks space, you can use a third-party tool to extend it. Please note that you will need at least 500MB of free space at any time to install the updates.
If you have less than that, you can try deleting some files, use a built-in system tool to clean the junk, or extend the partition with a third-party partition tool.

Solution 5 – Delete certain registry values
According to users, sometimes certain values in your registry can cause update error 0x800f0922 to appear. To fix the problem, users suggest finding and deleting the problematic registry entries.

- Press Windows Key + R and enter regedit . Press Enter or right – click on OK to start the Registry Editor .
- In the left pane, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionWINEVTPublishers . Now right-click on the Editors key and choose Export from the menu.

- Now find the following keys and delete them:

After removing these two keys, check if the problem persists.

Solution 6: delete all your temporary files
Windows stores all kinds of temporary files on your PC, but sometimes those files can interfere with your system and cause error 0x800f0922 to appear.
To fix the problem, it is recommended to delete all temporary files. You can do it by following these simple steps:
- Press Windows Key + R and enter % temp% . Now press Enter or right click on OK .
- When the Temp folder opens , delete all of its contents.

Solution 7: disable Secure Boot
Secure Boot is a useful feature that can protect your PC from certain malware, but this feature can also cause problems with certain updates.
Many users reported that they encountered the error 0x800f0922 due to the secure boot feature.
Now, to fix the problem, it is recommended to temporarily disable Secure Boot. To do so, you just need to enter the BIOS and disable Secure Boot from there.

Solution 8 – Repair your installation
Sometimes this problem can appear if your installation is corrupted. To fix the problem, it is recommended to perform an SFC scan. You can do it by following these simple steps:
- Press Windows Key + X and choose Command Prompt (Administrator) or PowerShell (Administrator) from the menu.
- Now enter sfc / scannow and hit Enter .
- The SFC scan will now start. The scan can take about 15 minutes, so don’t interfere with it.
If you are unable to run an SFC scan or if the SFC scan does not solve the problem, you should use the DISM scan instead.
To do that, start the command prompt as administrator and run the DISM / Online / Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth command . The DISM scan can take up to 20 minutes, so please do not interrupt it.
After the DISM scan is done, check if the problem is still there. If you were unable to run an SFC scan before, or if the DISM does not solve the problem, make sure to repeat the SFC scan again.
