Anays LP-14

Anays LP-14: Cuban rice variety that was the first obtained through the in vitro cultivation of hybrid anthers from the Amistad 82 / IR-759-54-2-2 crossing. Once characterized, it was introduced into observational and regional studies in different localities of the country, showing excellent agricultural and industrial yields, as well as tolerance in the field to the main pests. These results supported its introduction in validation tests under production conditions. It was obtained at the Experimental Rice Station located in Los Palacios , belonging to the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences .
